REMOVING MY DOCUMENTS FOLDER FROM THE DESKTOP
If you have Windows 98, most likely you see an icon for a folder called My Documents on your Desktop. This folder is often used as the default storage location for Windows documents by various programs. The icon on the Desktop can be removed, just like any other folder that you put on your Desktop. However, deleting the icon from the Desktop does not delete the actual folder. In order to delete the Desktop icon, you should right click the icon and then choose the option for Remove From Desktop. If you ever want to put this icon back on your Desktop, you can do so by right clicking on an empty area of the Desktop, choosing the New item from the context menu, and then choosing My Documents Folder On Desktop.
