REACTIVATE THE ACTIVE DESKTOP
When you got your Windows 98 computer (or installed
Internet Explorer version 4 on your Windows 95 computer),
you may have been intrigued by the "Active
Desktop" option, which integrated the web browser
with the operating system. But then, like many users, you
may have turned the Active Desktop off. How do you turn
it back on? You need to click on the Start button, then
navigate to the Settings item on the Start Menu, then
navigate to the Active Desktop item, and then click on
Customize My Desktop. Finally, you put a check mark in
the box for "View my Active Desktop as a Web
page" and click on the OK button.
