ADJUST THE SIZE OF THE RECYCLE BIN
The default size for the Recycle Bin is ten percent of
each disk drive on your system. So if you have, say, a
1.6 gigabyte drive, that translates out to 160 megabytes
just to act as a temporary hold area for files you
delete. You can reduce this figure by doing this: right
click on the Recycle Bin icon on your desktop and select
Properties from the context menu. You will see a slider
bar that adjusts the percentage of disk space used by the
Recycle Bin. You might try dragging this slider so that
you use only five percent, say. Then click the Apply
button and the OK button. Now you will have an
appreciable amount more of disk storage you can use for
programs or files.
