SAVING YOUR OWN DESKTOP SCHEMES

If you're a creative sort, you can design and save your own color schemes for the Desktop. Right click any blank area of the Desktop, select the item Properties from the Context Menu that pops up, and you're shown the Display Properties dialog box. Click on the tab at the top for Appearance.

There will be a list box next to the word Item which has a drop down arrow that you can click in order to choose any of various settings for components of the Desktop, such as windows, icons, and title bars. Modify them in any way you wish, choosing fonts, colors, sizes, etc. as appropriate, and then save your scheme by clicking on the Save As button next to the word Scheme and furnishing a name.
