REMOVE UNWANTED FONTS
If you have installed a lot of programs, chances are you
have also installed a great many fonts. Then when you
scroll through the font list as you choose which one you
want to use in a document, it takes unnecessary time and
energy. It also clogs up your hard drive to have a number
of undesired fonts. In order to get rid of any of those
fonts, you go through the following procedure: click on
the Start button. Choose Settings and then Control Panel
on the Start Menu. In the Control Panel window, double
click on the icon for Fonts.

Find the fonts you might want to remove by
double-clicking on the icon in order to preview the font.
If you're sure you want to get rid of a font, then after
the preview window has been closed, press the Delete key
and confirm the deletion. However, there are certain
fonts, which Windows needs, that you should absolutely
NOT remove: Arial, Courier New, Symbol, System, Times New
Roman, Wingdings, and any MicroSoft font (name beginning
with the letters MS), such as MS Sans Serif. Also be
careful of fonts used by other Software manufacturers
whose programs you regularly run.
