CHANGING FONT AND ICON SIZE

If you're like me, you are finding your eyes getting gradually worse, and it is so difficult to see that small type and those teeny icons on your screen! Well, if this is so, then change them. You begin by right-clicking on an empty area of your Desktop, then choose Properties from the context menu, then click on the Appearance tab. Here you might find that your current "scheme" is Windows Standard. By clicking on the down arrow to the right of those words, you can see other choices. Try, for example, "Windows Standard(Large)" or even "Windows Standard (Extra Large)". If your display has a high enough resolution, you can even choose among various Font sizes directly. (On my laptop computer, that section is "greyed out", indicating that I cannot change this.)
