GETTING YOUR WINDOWS REGISTRATION NUMBER

Some day you might have to re-install Windows on your computer. If you do, you'll need to have the registration number that Windows asks you for as it's accessing your CD ROM or your dozen-plus floppy disks. Do you have the number written down somewhere? If not, you'd better do so. Here's how you can find out that number without hunting around for your original documentation: right-click on My Computer and select Properties from the context Menu. You will see a screen that shows various information including "Registered to:" and the last number in that field is your registration. It is probably something like this fictitious value: 12345-OEM-1234567-12345.
