Context Menu Tips

FORMAT A DISKETTE

In My Computer, right-click the drive icon for the floppy diskette you want to format (for example, A:) and then (making sure you have a diskette in that drive) choose Format from the context menu. To make a formatted diskette bootable (that is, make it a System diskette), you can click Full and Copy System Files in the box labelled Other Options. If your diskette is already formatted, but not yet a System diskette, you can choose Copy System Files Only in the Format type box. After you have specified the type of formatted diskette to make, click on the Start button in the Format dialog box.
