BLUE WHALES - Rare close-up and mid-distant surface shots of the largest animal that has ever lived. Close-up scenes of heads, dorsal fins, blow holes, and flukes. Several colorful scenes showing rainbows in the vapor from the blow-holes.
FALSE KILLER WHALE (Pseudo Orca) - Close-up underwater scenes of a single animal apparently posing for the camera.
FINBACK WHALES - Wide array of aerial and surface shots of the second largest whale. Included are sequences of finback whales swimming nonchalantly near a small boat and one rare close-up underwater shot.
GRAY WHALES - Surface behavior including fluking, breaching, spy-hopping, and "friendly" whales performing for - and being petted by - people in a small boat. Extreme close-up topside and underwater scenes of mother and baby -including underwater shots of whales being petted. Aerial scenes of migrating whales. Surface scenes of courtship activity with Risso dolphins swimming with the whales
HUMPBACK WHALES - Probably the most extensive library of humpback whale footage in existence. See the 4 images above taken from the video footage. Included are many behavioral activities of cows, calves, and adult males in two 21-minute educational films: "THE HUMPBACK WHALE: Winter -- a Time for Singing" and "THE HUMPBACK WHALE: Summer -- a Time for feeding ". Underwater activities include singing, "bubble net" feeding, and interacting with divers. Surface activities include breaching, fluking, flipper-flopping, and spy-hopping. Also, aerial sequences of migrating humpbacks.
Recent material of humpback whales filmed in Hawaii includes a mother-baby nursing sequence and an underwater view of a baby breaching (scenes probably never before filmed). Also, many detailed extreme close-up shots of cows, calves, and adult males (In a number of scenes the whales are within three feet of the camera).
Dramatic new topside material obtained in Alaska on video shows similar behavioral activity but often with snow-capped mountains in the background and dramatic sound effects - such as the rarely recorded summer feeding songs and a blow that sounds like an English horn. Also, many dramatic scenes of whales approaching and swimming directly under a small boat.
KILLER WHALES (Orcas) - Extensive footage of surface behavior filmed in the wild including breaching, spy-hopping, and tail lobbing. Close-up underwater scenes filmed at the Vancouver, B.C. Aquarium. Recent dramatic shot of an apparently threatening killer whale swimming toward and directly under a small boat.
MINKE WHALES - Rare surface shots including extreme close-ups (mostly dorsal fins) of this diminutive and timid animal.

Recent unique film footage (referred to as "The Pilot Whale Incident" shows a lady swimmer petting a pilot whale and then being charged, taken underwater and almost drowned before being brought to the surface.
