3. OTHER MARINE MAMMALS

CALIFORNIA SEA LIONS - Extensive footage on land and surface of water (including pups leaping, surfing, and nursing) and underwater - including dramatic scenes of adults chasing and catching fish, interacting with divers, growling (See image above right) and attacking the camera (See image above left), Also, scratching back on rocky bottom (see image above right). also scenes of sea lions with plastic bans around their necks which will eventually cause srangulation (See section on environmental damage - right top of page). Also recent shots of sea lions resting or sleeping underwater - both near the surface and on the ocean bottom. Also, unique mid distant scene of sea lions swimming with Pacific White-sided dolphins.

ELEPHANT SEALS - Shots of females underwater. Also, a sequence of a small dog chasing a large bull into the water.

HARBOR SEALS - Underwater close-up scenes of adults and pups swimming among kelp, seaweed, and rocks. Topside scenes of seals perched on rocks and icebergs and in water near icebergs.

MANATEES - Extensive close-up film and video footage of these docile lovable animals - including scenes of Manatees and divers together. See image above left. Also included are probably unique shots of manatees mating and nursing.

SEA OTTERS - Endless entertainment both on surface and underwater. Surface scenes include otters using tools, sleeping and grooming in kelp, tumbling, eating clams, abalone and crabs and mother carrying pup. Underwater activities include otters swimming playfully through the kelp, obtaining food on the ocean bottom (crabs, sea urchins, clams and abalone) using tools & interacting with divers (see above left & right). Included is a comical sequence of an otter taking food from a diver's mouth and finally biting the diver on the lip (above right). Also available is a comical sequence of an otter struggling to remove an abalone from a mirror.

STELLAR SEA LIONS - Scenes of animals swimming on the surface and interacting aggressively with divers underwater (including growling and charging the camera).
