2. DOLPHINS

ATLANTIC WHITE-SIDED DOLPHINS - Mid-distance underwater shots. Also, topside shots of dolphins jumping.

BOTTLENOSE DOLPHINS - Extensive mid-distance and close-up underwater shots including scenes of dolphins maneuvering directly in front of the camera. Also, scenes of a remora holding on to a fast swimming dolphin and a rare scene of two bottlenose dolphins and humpback whales together. See above right for a close-up shot.

COMMON DOLPHINS - Dramatic scenes on both film and video of large groups of dolphins swimming rapidly at the surface and often leaping out of the water

DALL'S DOLPHINS - Surface shots of dolphins riding a bow wave and exhibiting their unique surface-skimming leaps.

PACIFIC SPOTTED DOLPHINS - Extensive underwater footage on both film and video including many close-ups. Included are sequences of dolphins interacting with swimmers and a sequence of a dolphin bleeding to death with a Mako shark swimming by. Also, surface and underwater shots of dolphins riding a bow wave and jumping about 30 feet into the air.

PACIFIC WHITE-SIDED DOLPHINS - Extensive close-up underwater footage of dolphins, passing, approaching and circling the camera. See image above left. Also underwater shots of dolphins riding a bow wave and swimming with California sea lions. This may be the first time that Pacific White-sided dolphins have been filmed underwater.

RISSO'S DOLPHINS - Rare surface shots of dolphins breaching, and swimming belly-up near the boat. Also unique shots of dolphins swimming near courting gray whales.

ROUGH-TOOTHED DOLPHINS - Rare underwater footage on both film and video of this hard-to-approach animal. See above left for a close-up underwater shot.

SPINNER DOLPHINS - Extensive underwater mid-distance and extreme close-up footage obtained on both film and video. Also, spectacular topside mid-distance and close-up shots of spinners jumping and spinning high in the air. See above right for a close-up underwater shot.

WHITE-BEAKED DOLPHINS - Surface shots of dolphins jumping directly in front of the boat. Underwater shots of dolphins repeatedly approaching, circling, and hanging in front of the camera. This is probably the only time these animals - found only in the North Atlantic - have been filmed underwater.
