OK. This is my helpful
hints to newbies section.
1) This is not a chat room, it's a posting board. Please honor the four posts per hour. And don't expect an immediate repsonse. 1a) If you need to
see new posts or check whether your post was posted, please press the "Reload"
or "Refresh" button on your browser.
2) Do you know who all the people are who look at this page? Neither do I. So for goodness sakes, why would you be putting your home address and phone number where anyone with a modem can see it? 3) Please do not post all in caps. This is considered the equivalent of shouting. If you have a word to emphasize, use caps for that word, or check the Tricks, Tips and Guidelines wherever they are above for how to do bold, italics and underline. 4) If you prepare your post in Notepad or another text editor, you can recover it if it gets lost in the process of posting - at least until you clear the Notepad. This does not apply to posts eaten by dingoes over night. 5) If you know how to post in color, please don't. The color codes have been modified for the exclusive use of the people connected with the show so we can recognize when they are here. 5a) Java and Java
Scripts may or may not cause problems on the board, but every time someone
posts them, huge chunks of the board get lost, peoples browsers crash,
there's plague and pestilence, dogs and cats living together in sin...
Please keep this in mind.
6) Please look around. Notice who posts here. Try to come up with a name that people aren't using. You can vary capitalization, add an initial or number, or use something like all the good names are taken so just call me Bob did. Of course, now, that name is... taken. This is because it's very hard to leave a message for Bob when there are 32 Bob's posting. 7) If you want to post lewd, obscene or objectionable material... Ew! Ick! Yuck! There are children who read this board for goodness sake. You're probably one of them, but that's beside the point. The point is, Put it someplace else.
