VENICE COMMUNITY PLAN
The Venice Community Plan is a part of the General Plan of the City of Los Angeles. The Community Plan text states goals, objectives, policies, and programs. The Community Plan map outlines an arrangement and intensities of land uses, locations and characteristics of public service facilities. The community plan was updated Sept. 29, 2000.

VENICE COASTAL LAND USE PLAN
This is a policy document which was certified by the California
Coastal Commission on June 14, 2000. It is a policy document which guides planning in the Venice are but does not have the force of law.

VENICE COASTAL SPECIFIC PLAN for Projects
The VCSP is intended to implement the policies articulated in the Venice Coastal Land Use Plan. The new adopted amended plan now goes to the Coastal Commission for possible certification. There will first be public hearings and we will keep you posted. Current projects in the Venice Coastal area (west side of Lincoln Blvd to the beach) must conform to the specific plan or receive an "exception".
