6) Action Item: relative to newly passed Methane Ordinance

- Consider recommendation to City Councilmember Miscikowski with
regard to her proposed Task Force on Toxic Gases which is intended to
recommend amendments to the recently passed City methane code.
- Discuss potential form and how it would work
7) Discussion Item: Venice Specific Plan (15 min)[requested by

- Relative to the eastern section of Venice (the only area in
Venice not covered by the Venice Coastal Specific Plan or the Oxford
Triangle Specific Plan)
8) Discussion Item: Participation in the Coastal Commission
Hearings on the amended Venice Coastal Specific Plan ("VCSP"), which
replaced the earlier VCSP on Jan. 19, 2004. (20 min)[requested by John

b. Delegate a committee member to be the "watchdog" so that
LUPC can timely agendize the matter to take public testimony and
represent community wishes at the Coastal Commission public hearings.
9) Discussion item: Lake Street safety (10 min)[requested

- Commercial trucks unload after restricted hours, unsavory
activity in parking lots, speeding traffic
10) Discussion item: LUPC budget request (10 min)[requested
by Sabrina Venskus]
a. Discuss possibility of
preparing a budget for LUPC operation and submitting it to the GRVNC
board for approval
