LUPC TO CONTINUE TO MEET: Although the GRVNC June elections have been invalidated by the Arbitor, the Human Relations Commission, development applications continue at a breakneck pace in Venice. In light of the importance of development issues in the shaping of the future of our community, LUPC members have decided to continue to meet and advocate for the community during the interim period until new elections can be held and certified. Zoe Garraway: "With all the building development currently in the works I feel it necessary to remain a viable resource for the community even if potentially, we are only acting as a forum for airing their concerns or answering their questions." Greg Fitchitt: "So long as developers are willing to come and present their projects to LUPC and to the community, it seems like the LUPC is performing a pretty valuable service to Venice by creating a forum for, at minimum, community information and input." Similar comments
were made by Geof Collins, David Hertz, Sabrina Venskus and Laura Burns.
