| Rushing Stream, watercolor (sold) |
The "Action Abstracts" like "Rushing Stream", "Mood Swing", "Indigo Ice", and "Storm
Surge" are done in transparent watercolor and are mostly painted without a brush. Paint is poured, squirted and textured
then allowed to dry so I can pour and squirt again. Rushing Stream was the first in this series. I don't think I've ever had
a series I enjoyed working on as much as this one.

Casein is an ancient paint used by the Egyptians. It is briefly described as "milk tempera". Milk eventually makes the
pigment permanent. The effect has been descibed as liquid pastel when applied thickly like it is on this painting. This is
one of two fire paintings.

| Wine Decanters, watercolor, 30x22-in $1200 |
A reviewer commented on my painting, "Wine Decanters" in the Still Life show at Ambre' Studio. "Lynn Millar is the resident
revolutionary, the one who fractures wine decanters into a Rorschach jungle of white space, bottles curtained by slices of
olive, tanned gold and watermelon. Her neatest trick is to make the watercolor decanters appear to decant liquid color." -Morning
Call, April 2007
