Hobbies
Gardening; Pottery; Sewing; Crochet (but I'm still learning). My greatest
hobby/obsession is birding. And I've gone a bit overboard; I have 5 birdhouses, 7 hummingbird feeders, 11 birdfeeders, 4
squirrel feeders, and a bird bath in my yard! But I really enjoy watching (and feeding) our wildlife.
Sports
Hockey is my sport! I am a big Columbia Inferno fan, and have amused quite a few people with my ferver. : ) My NHL team is the Carolina Hurricanes - but I've not made it to Raleigh to watch one of their games in person yet. Hopefully this coming season will be the
one! Although, I'm not a sports participant, I do walk for exercise. You'll probably see me out and about around
the USC campus at lunchtime.
Books
Currently my favorites are southern fiction written by authors
like Jan Karon, Ann B. Ross, Bailey White, James Herriot. I also enjoyed the Harry Potter series and am looking forward to the next movie.
Movies
Avery and I really enjoy going to the movies. And our interests are diverse - but mainly comedies, non-violent "tame" action films, and dramas.
Music
I'm a country music fan. Alan Jackson is my favorite artist of all time! I also listen to a lot of contemporary Christian like Big Daddy Weave,
Casting Crowns, Sierra, FFH, etc.
Pets
Avery and I have one dog, a female beagle named Nike.
Named such for the swoosh on her neck. She's very sweet and friendly but has a major flaw - she goes completely
beserk during thunderstorms.
