Group shot of all Navy Hydrofoils in formation
Photograph of the Navy's only Hydrofoil Squadron (PHMRON-2) underway.

After Twenty-one years total active military service (Two yearsArmy and nineteen in the Navy with a couple of years of civilian life in between). I finally retired in 1993 as an FCC. I have to admitthat I ocasionally miss the comaraderie that was so much a part of militarylife and especially the C.P.O. community.

I spent my career in the Navy on the East Coast. Primarily in the Tidewater (Virginia)area. I was stationed aboard USS Mount Whitney (LCC-20), pre-commissioning crew for USS SAIPAN (LHA-2), stationed on USS Josephus Daniels (CG-27), and USS Flatley (FFG-21) homeported at Mayport, FL.I had a tour as an instructor at Dam Neck, a tour at SIMA Mayport and finished my career as the Assistant Combat SystemsOfficer with Commander Hydrofoil Squadron Two in Key West, FL.

In surfing the net I found so many Web Sites being run by my fellow Chief Petty Officers that I was compelled to put one together myself. I will make additional pages with more data and add linksto my favorite sites as time goes by.
