Lance Green is a man of the earth. He began to express his deep connection and love for to Mother Earth a few years ago painting plein aire in Colorado, adding his own personal twist, suggesting influences by Rothko, Cezanne, the Impressionists and the Fauves. Although his scenes are abstracted in shape and color, there is still an almost divine aliveness beckoning in the distance that draws the observer into the glowing atmosphere of his landscapes.
