Facility

Queen City Relays are hosted by Myers Park High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The track is an 8 lane rubberized facility located at 2400 Colony Rd., Charlotte, NC, (980) 343-5800.  The meet director is John Cline.   He can be reached at the above address and phone number or by email at john.cline@cms.k12.nc.us

For this meet no spikes longer than ¼” will be permitted.  The shot and discus circles are concrete.  No spikes will be allowed on the disc and shot circles.  Starting blocks will be provided.  Teams should dress at their school or hotel as limited facilities are available at the school.

Entries

1.       Schools must be members of their State High School Athletic Association to enter.

2.       Entry rules are in accordance with the NFHS rules.  No contestant may enter more than four events.

3.       Each school will be limited to two competitors in each open event provided they meet the entry standards (see attached sheet).  Please do not enter anyone that cannot meet the entry standards. 

4.       Entry is done online through http://www.directathletics.com and the entry deadline is 11:59 pm Friday, March 19^th, 2010. 

5.       An entry fee of $75 per team (male and female combined = $135.00) or $15 per person for 3 or less entries is due with your entry.  Entry fees must be in our hands by Friday March 19^th, 2010.  Entries will not be accepted without the proper fee.  Make checks payable to Myers Park High School.  Please mail your entry fee by Wednesday March 17th, 2010 in order to be received on time.

Awards

The Top Six Places in each event will receive awards.  The outstanding male and female athlete will be presented at the conclusion of the meet.  Please turn your ballots in to the scorers box immediately after the 1600m relay.
