Established in 1939, WESU is one of the oldest non-commercial radio stations in the United States. Now, in 2006, WESU broadcasts at the frequency of 88.1 megahertz from it's 1500-watt transmitter located atop the Wesleyan Science Tower. WESU offers an interesting mix of Public affairs and free-form music programming to discerning listeners at throughout the Connecticut River Valley.

Randy Burns, founder of GAI (Gay American Indians) will speak on activism and the GLBT community.   As a thirty + year activist in both movements he will address the problems faced by activists who are part of more than one cultural entity. Through his personal history he will discuss the progress made and how individuals can make bridges between communities and movements.

Two Spirit Press Room announces organizational sponsorship in partnership with the Minnesota 20th Anniversary International Two Spirit Gathering planning council for the 2008 20th North American Gathering of 2 Spirit People.  Anticipated as the largest gathering in the event’s two decade history, this celebration of cultural revitalization and healing will be coming home to its birthplace.

Michael Jon Smith is the founding member of St. Cloud OUT, an organization that provides solidarity and support to area GLBT organizations. He serves on OUT's Advisory and GLBTA Film Festival Committees. OUT brought film back to the Paramount Theatre in downtown St. Cloud. Not only one film, but three GLBTA films, making it the first Film Festival for the city. The special thing about this annual festival is it brings in speakers to discuss the films content. It is also a free event
