History of LAB-RAT Graphics

LAB-RAT Graphics began in 2000 as an idea for commissioned artwork by Bob Rivard and artist friend Lyle Tucker. At that time, Bob developed the logo and name, but the team primarily worked through a network of personal contacts and recommendations, never actually using the DBA.  Lyle has moved on to primarily fanzine publishing projects, and Bob is now launching LAB-RAT independently to showcase his work.

My Background

Bob is a long-time comics fan and independent artist.  His eclectic influences include Curt Swan, Jack Kirby, Wally Wood, George Evans, and Will Eisner. He has been drawing as long as he can remember and had a number of fanzine and small press works published before his first professional work for Images' Big Bang Comics. He is an authority on DC comics' Silver Age artists and characters.  Additional interests include politics, building computers, and Star Trek fandom.  He has a day job, and yes thank you, he's keeping it.
