Teacher, Tekkie, Digital Designer ... Experienced Software Trainer, Technology Teacher and Trainer for Teachers with Science and Technology Workshops, in-class co-teaching, integrating technology into curriculum and aligning lessons to Technology & Science Standards.

I graduated in January, 2003 with a B.A. in Music Education, Cum Laude, from C.W. Post College, L.I.U. and completed an additional 36 credits in technology classes to obtain my teaching certification in that field. I have extensive business and technology experience as well.

In the summer of 2006 I began a Master's Degree program at the New York Institute of Technology, leading to an MS in Instructional Technology. I attended full time for awhile and expect to complete December 2008 or in May 2009. So far I've completed 33 of 36 credits with a 4.0 GPA. Since January of 2007, I'm also the business coordinator, online marketer & webmaster for FunMasters.biz, a small party entertainment enterprise.

I taught at the MLK High School for Arts & Technlogy, 66th Street and Amsterdam Avenue in Manhattan, from September 2004 - June 2006. During the 2003-04 school year, I taught at The Young Women's Leadership School, an all-girls NYC public school in East Harlem, TYWLS.

Babel Fish Translation

I believe that a student's education should balance traditional knowledge and skills with innovative, real world applications. Student work should foster creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and accountability, both individually and collaboratively, in an atmosphere of respect for each child and their unique abilities.

Technological advances continue to significantly impact our society, and today's classrooms need to integrate these advances and prepare students to use technology effectively and be life-long learners in an ever-changing world.
