Here's a view of the left hand end of the shack. Bottom shelf contains a Lafayette HE-74 VFO, Heath HX-10
Marauder, Heath SB-10 Sideband Adapter, Heath TX-1 Apache and Collins 75A-3 Receiver. The Apache has audio mods of my own
design to eliminate the "scratchy Apache" sound.
Next shelf up contains a (NOS!)EAC R-390A, RME-6900 Receiver and matching speaker, Hallicrafters SX-71 and
Johnson Challenger.
Above them is a very nice Gonset GSB-100 transmitter and Hammarlund HQ-170 Receiver and the Hallicrafters
R-46A speaker that is switchable between many of the old receivers in the shack. It really has a deep mellow sound.

Continuing on around the shack is another vintage AM position with a B&W 5100 tranmsitter and Hammarlund
HQ-170A/VHF Receiver. The little WWII OS8-B/U scope on the table serves as a modulation monitor when transmitting in the dummy
load.
Speaker on top is a Hallicrafters R-46B.

And this is the 160 meter station...I really enjoy chasing DX on TopBand! The Kenwood
TS-940S (with hot-carrier diode mod) and an Alpha 76PA do a very nice job along with a 75 foot shunt fed tower (TH6DXX on
top for top loading) and about 7500 feet of radials in the ground. Sure wish I had room for beverages .....receive antennas
consist of a CATV shielded loop (K9FD design) , a Brian Beasley K6STI horizontal loop, and a 300' long wire about 6' above
ground. Present totals on 160 are 233 countries confirmed and 38 zones....still need Zones 23 and 24 !
