BATHE

To give a wooly a bath: Put 1 to 2 inches of warm water and white vinegar in a sink or plastic tub. Set the rabbit carefully in the sink and let soak for several minutes. Pick the rabbit up by the scruff and let drip for a minute or so. Get an assistant to hold a rag or large towel under the rabbit and try to dry as much of the excess water out of the fur. Procede to the Blow Dry Procedure. |
BLOW DRY

To blow dry a wet wooly: Have someone hold the bunny sitting upright on a towel, rag, or rug while you use the hair dryer, or vice versa. Use a heat setting that is not extremely hot, as the dryer needs to be fairly close to the rabbit's skin to do any good. The dryer operator may want to brush the fur while drying to quicken dry time and lessen tangles. |
SHAVE

To shave a wooly: Use a small electric razor to trim the fur around the rabbit's genitals so that it does not get extremely matted or messy. Have one person hold the rabbit, and pull out the legs, while another person does the shaving. |
BRUSH

Brush once finished: Wire bristle brushes work best. We use a small dog's brush, and a shedding comb helps as well. Brush the wooly all over, including underneath. Clean out the brush when done! Voila! |
