Cover topics such as: Breeds, Body Types, Diseases, Shelter, Breeding, Fur Types, Marketing, Shows, Sanitation, Care and Grooming, Fitting and Showing, Skeletal Structure, Records, Parts of the Rabbit's Body, Nutrition, and Vocabulary.
Have the members go to an ARBA rabbit show. Split them into pairs, give them lists of rabbit breeds to find and have them ask the breeders about the breeds on their list.
Set up regular fitting and showing practices. You might even consider putting together a county wide 4-H Rabbit Day!
Have each member present a specific part of the topic for each meeting. Tell them beforehand so they have time to research and prepare.
Have older members show younger members how to fit and show. They could also have a rabbit health care clinic, where they could show how to trim toenails, brush, etc. to newer or younger members. This is another project that could be turned into a county wide clinic.
To learn about marketing: Split up your members into different groups that will sell breeding equipment, general equipment and cages, health supplies, grooming equipment, feed supplies, misc. supplies, books, breeding rabbits, show qualitly rabbits, meat rabbits, pet rabbits, and wool rabbits. Give them a price range and have them make pictures of their items to price. Have them come with a name for each of their stores/rabbitrys. They could also creat posters or flyers to advertise their products. Create several mission/role lists for each member to complete with things to buy or do with topics such as diseased rabbits, rabbit breeder, organic rabbit raiser, gardener, wool rabbit raiser, A.R.B.A. showman, meat breeder, meat pen raiser, and pet rabbit raiser. Print of paper money. You can download Monopoly money which is great for this! Limit the time allowed to play and set up some rules, which you should go over before starting to ensure fair play. A few extra adults to help younger members is a great help. You should be the bank, with some extra money in order to make change if necessary.
Create a disease game where your members all draw cards of 4 different colors. Put a different topic on each color. One should be the disease name, another the cure, one the symptoms, and one should be a picture of the disease. The members have to trade cards and talk to the other members in order to find a complete disease. This is a great ice breaker for a big club or even one with older members who haven't met.
