Jul 30, 2005 - Flights out of Bombay airport -- India's busiest -- were suspended after an Air India
Boeing 747 skidded off the wet runway as it landed from the city of Bangalore, officials said. None of the 333 passengers
on board were hurt.

7/27/05: 633 people have died in India since June 1 in the heavy seasonal rains, which have washed
away tens of thousands of homes, roads, railway tracks and bridges. India's previous heaviest rainfall, recorded in the northeastern
town of Cherrapunji — one of the rainiest places on Earth — was 33 inches on July 12, 1910.
Today, they received over 37 inches of rain in just a few hours!
