CRIME:
Charged with command responsibility for murders, rapes and torture allegedly committed by the Muslim and Croat guards under his command at the Celebici prison camp in central Bosnia in 1992.

CRIME:
Charged with 38 counts of grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions and violations of the laws or customs of war for crimes committed in the Celibici prison camp in Central Bosnia.

Captured by Bosnian government forces January 30, 1996.
Died of cancer after being released by Tribunal on humanitarian grounds, May 18, 1996.

Participated in rounding up more than 200 Croatian persons and others from the Vukovar hospital in November, 1991 when the city fell to Serbian forces. Failed to stop these actions as a civic leader.
