A superhero mmporg with excelent character customization, good questing, good teaming systems, it lacks tradeskilling
and could use more roleplaying. But is very popular. people are friendly. and it has a great tutorial, tip in the tutorial
try to kill 100 of the infected before finishing office ques, and choosing a starting city.
Neocron
is a fast paced MMPORG set in a posible Earth future. Unique in a lot of aspects this game plays in a classic
FPS(First Person Shooter) style. But unlike Quake and Doom There are non combat ways to make money AND experience.
The Sims Online
Is a MMporg Based on some of the most popular games in the world. Like a chatroom gone Virtual. It does get old fast
because it has lost a lot of its dollhouse like charm.

Neopets
Is a addictive game combining the best qualities of pokemon, virtual pets, rpgs, multiuser communites, gambling, a disneyland environment, and various favorate video games.
It's spam content is non existant. and its VERY good for kids and teens as well as fun for adults.
its only downside is it has a HUGE user consentration making bargin hunting a bit tricky. and shops get sold out fast
Zetapets
A neopet ripoff basically. It is very new and has a lot of lag..not many games
a quirky interface but hey it can only get better. It does have promise. its aimed at a slightly older age group
Thus pets are less CUTE. and pets start off as infants and grow. bargin hunters can take advantage of a tiny population.
as things are less likly to be sniped away as you are bargaing.

StarKingdoms
is a FREE and simple to learn online game,
and its best to come in when it resets since everyone gets to start together. however coming in
mid game is a good way to learn the ropes formulate a strategy and make contacts.
Its main drawback is Popup Ads and lul times between resets.
It is almost like a no graphic Civilization.
Vagabond's Quest
is another low graphic game with no downloads. But this is more of a D&d Style. It has java and html Combat arenas as well as a virtual dungeon and shops . but also pops Ads up on your desktop.
Laser a simplistic puzzle game were you angle mirrors to redirect a lazer. its adicting.
Vampires!
A very no frill game with you as a vampire sucking. simple to play good background game.

~~Text Based Games~~
Muds are the king of text games they are text based universe with npc monsters and quests. Zmud is a program that runs muds and gives extra perks . you can also play muds free using windows telnet program if you know the address of the mud. The Mud Connector is a web page that lists muds and will auto connect to them via telnet.
two of my favorate muds are Genesis a Fantasy heavy RPG mud and Starmud a Goofy sci-fi hack n slash
IRC
is a great place to role play if you know the channel. #Blkdragon*Inn is one of the more popular freeform rpg channals for me it was always the best i played on quite a few other rpg chanals but most the other ones vanished
