Why re-create the wheel. Most policies and procedures that we develop have already
been developed before. This page will allow you to view other policies and procedures that
are already in use at other hospitals and Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Please use these
policies and procedures as a basis for developing your own institutions policies.
Remember, what works in one institution may or may not work in another.

I have placed a new sign by all new policies when this page is updated.
To view a policy or procedure, just click on "Text" across from the title. To
download a policy or procedure, move the mouse to the desired policy or procedure, click
the right button, highlight "Save Target As_" (Internet Explorer) or "Save
Link As_" (Netscape) , choose the place on your hard drive to store the file to, give
the file a good name, click OK, and there you have it. For you folks using a Mac, click on
the underlined word "Text" and a window will appear with the prompt "Save
this document as." Select a meaningful title and where you want to save it (desktop
or a file folder) and press "Save." (Thanks to Mary Ritchie, Alameda County AORN
web manager for the MAC instructions.)
You can search the page for a key word by using the "Find" choice under your
Edit menu choices. Go to Edit, point your cursor at "Find", type in the key word
and then click on "Find Next". If you find the word but not what you're looking
for, click on find Next" until you do.
