Ellen Ott – Symposium meeting tonight following the chapter meeting. C.
Budget and Finance: Danny Castillo – Financial Report – April 21, 01
– May 20, 01 = $5170.08. D.
Secretary:
Mary Carroll – Nothing. E.
Policies and Bylaws: Betty Richter – Nothing. F.
Membership:
Gerta Howell – The winner of the $1,000.00 for the membership sign in
raffle was Linda Landry from MASH Northwest. Membership Survey, are still in the
process of tallying the responses. Information will be presented at the
Transition Board meeting this summer and in the September Newsletter. G.
Legislative:
Tom Stringer – Capital updates are available on the table. Bill 1183
concerning the regulation of Surgical Technicians passed through the legislature
and is now law. Betty Richter will be able to give us a report from Washington,
D.C. upon her return from this years AORN Leadership Conference.

Newsletter:
Tom Stringer – Submit items as soon as possible to Tom. I.
Ways and Means:
Ellen Ott – Thanks to Peggy Forcelli for the monthly raffle prize she
provided at each meeting this year. We still have fire extinguishers, first aid
kits, and cookbooks for sale. Letters
to Reps. for the Silent Auction at the Bowling Benefit next February are
available from Ellen Ott. J.
Public Relations:
Christallia Starks – CNOR month was celebrated last month.
There are 151 CNORS in our chapter. K.
Research:
None. L.
Scholarship: Mary Carroll – Have sent
out letters to the various schools and hospitals about our scholarship
offerings. Have received several
inquiries from students but none were qualified to receive the scholarship
monies this year. The money for both of the scholarships will roll over into
next years budget. M.
Program:
Betty Richter – Program tonight will be Guy Conga on Retirement
Strategies for the Healthcare Professional. 4.

New Business A.
Our chapter board approved to give
UTHSCSA $500.00 to be utilized in
their Learning Lab for equipment in appreciation for the use of the facilities
this past year. B.
