Obtain from pharmacy Post-Op Mgmt. Keep all doors closed All staff to remove and discard gown, gloves, boots masks, shields prior to leaving OR room Instruments In Theater: scrub nurse wearing gloves, disposable gown, cover boots, mask and face shield, gently remove gross contaminants prior to going to decontamination. All instruments, stainless steel in flash autoclave 18 in 270 degrees Housekeeping Clean right away cleaning supplies discarded in biohazard garbage. Wear gown/gloves isolation cleaning( terminal cleaning + walls & every flat surface Use separate cleaning cloth for each piece of equipment Cleaning Solution 1-2 molar sodium hydroxide solution( 10%) "Solid Pellet"( pharmacy to prepare Surfaces remain in contact with solution x 1 hour Garbage All supplies, instruments, equip,linen, attire are discarded unless autoclaved. Linen Do Not Use. all linen items are discarded in biohazard bags( cover boots, bed linen, mop heads,etc) Anaesthetic Machine/supply cart Change filter and anaesthetic hoses flat surfaces cleaned anaesthetic supplies discarded or autoclaved.
