Welcome from the Kennesaw Outdoor Activities Club (KOAC).
We are a group of adults from the metro Atlanta area who enjoy nature.
Activities include hiking, backpacking, camping, biking and canoeing.
Hiking trips are usually one-day outings but we also do frequent
overnight camping and backpacking adventures.
North Georgia, with its rugged mountains, babbling brooks and beautiful
waterfalls provides numerous hiking trails.
The southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail is at Springer Mountain.
KOAC is a frequent visitor to the 80 mile Georgia section of the AT.
Several Georgia State Parks (such as Sweetwater Creek and Red Top Mountain)
and Kennesaw National Battlefield are nearby with beautifully maintained footpaths.
KOAC is comprised of adult hikers and backpackers of all ages and abilities.
Our schedule of club events provides weekly opportunities for the novice to
experienced club member.
The Club meets five times a year (check calendar) and features guest speakers on
environment, conservation or outdoor recreation topics.
We are fortunate to live in this beautiful part of the world. We invite you
