Journal Club Schedule

Aerospace medicine journal club is held on the first Monday of every month at 1830 hrs.  We eat and socialize for the first hour then get down to business at 1930 hrs CDT.  If you are presenting at journal club, consider reading the following two papers.  The first article, by Dr. Atzema is a good primer on how to critically review an article for journal club.  The second article by Schwarz et. al. provides recommendations for improving journal club presentations.

Atzema C. Presenting at Journal Club: A Guide. Ann Emerg Med. 2004;44:169-174.

Schwarz MD. Improving journal club presentations. EBM 2007;12:66-68.

Quick Guide to Evaluating the Medical Literature

If you are offsite and would like to join the discussion, please call into the journal club at 1930 hrs CDT using Skype.  Please make arrangements ahead of time by calling Diane Ellison x7-6131, so we know to expect your call.
