Hi and Welcome!

Take a look at the site - maybe you'll find a recipe of my grandmother's that you want to try.  The are all well-tested!  Drop me a note and say "hi" and let me know if you've tried one of the recipes.

 

My Own Coffee Ice Cream Recipe
(based on my mother's recipe, "Mary Anne McBrayer's Vanilla Ice Cream".)
2 eggs
8 fluid oz. very strong coffee
1, 14-oz can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
Vanilla extract (about 1 tsp. no more).
1/4 to 1/2 Cup whole milk
 

In a mixing bowl, place 2 eggs and beat until light and fluffy.  Add sweetened condensed milk and stir to blend.  Pour in the coffee, add a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract to taste.  Add enough whole milk to bring mixture 2-3” from top of a 1-quart ice cream maker.  Freeze according to manufacturer's directions.  Pour mixture into a freezer container and put in freezer for about 2 hours.  Serve.  It's sooo good.  The beaten eggs make the ice cream scoopable, even for days afterwards.
