Personal Statement
I came to Hersh & Hersh because I believe in the work
that we do to protect the rights of individuals. On a daily
basis, we have the opportunity to work to right the wrongs
that have been committed against those who have been injured,
victimized, or treated unfairly. I was impressed and continue
to be inspired by the passion, social conscience, and commitment
to justice that all of the partners and others at the firm
bring to their work.
Cowardice asks the question – is it safe?
Expediency asks the question – is it possible?
Vanity asks the question – is it popular?
But conscience asks the question – is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position
that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular; but one
must take it because it is right.
-- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
