I am looking for information on my ggrandmother, (Samantha) Jane MULLINAX. She was born in S. C. & may have lived in the Charleston area as a child. Her mother's surname may have been HOUSE. Jane married Jacob SEPAUGH born 1848 in N. C. Jacob was the son of Henry Sepaugh & Martha Roberts.

Jacob Sepaugh's sister, Margaret Elizabeth Sepaugh married William Judson MULLINAX in 1874 in Gaffney, S. C.

Were Jane MULLINAX SEPAUGH & William Judson MULLINAX related ?

James Cyrus ERWIN b 1806 Burke Co., NC d 1880 Gordon Co., GA m Hannah ERWIN b 1805 NC. d 1887 Gordon Co., GA. She was the daughter of John and Catherine ERWIN.

John SHANKLE b ca 1815-17 TN d 1885 m Clarissa PROCTOR b ca 1816-19 d 1885. Known places of residence were Jackson Co., AL and Dekalb Co., AL where they are buried.

Jeremiah PROCTOR b 1777 VA [probably Albamarle Co.,] m 1806 Garrard Co., Kentucky to Jane "Jennie" DAVIS b 1786 VA, daughter of William DAVIS and Mary BLACK. Later resided in Jackson Co., AL.

Jesse Jay JOHNS b ca 1820 TN m 17 March 1845 Meigs Co., TN to Hannah MORELAND b ca 1827 TN. Among children were sons Starling and Francis Marion JOHNS b 1851 who moved to Jackson Co., AL.

Phillip WYRICK b ca 1790-1798 d 1848 Grainger Co., TN m 25 Aug. 1818 Wythe Co., VA Katherine "Caty" WYRICK b 1800-1805, daughter of Martin WYRICK Jr.

Looking for descendants of O. G. LEDBETTER who was son of NANCY LEDBETTER. I have an old letter written by O. G. LEDBETTER to his aunt, MALINDA LEDBETTER DOOLY ( DOOLEY / DULA ) in the late 1800's. O. G. LEDBETTER was living at Round Mountain Alabama at that time and he list his children. I would love to make contact with his descendants. MALINDA LEDBETTER DOOLY was my great grandmother.

Looking for parents of REBECCA JANE REEVES b ca March 1851-1853 in Ill. (possibly Perry Co.) Her death certificate list her mothers maiden name as "GOTHE". REBECCA married 31 March 1870 in Perry Co. Ill to GEORGE QUINCY LOMAN who was b Dec 1854 probably in Jefferson Co. Ill. They moved to Baxter Co. Ar., then on to Ada, Pontotoc Co., Ok. ( Indian Territory) where they both died.

JONATHAN MIDDLETON WILLIAMS b ca 1779 possibly in Brunswick Co., Va., married in 1803 to RHODA ELLIOTT ( ELLITT ) in Rutherford Co. NC. They are reported to have had 21 children. Need parents and siblings or any other information on JONATHAN MIDDLETON WILLIAMS. I have possible parents as JONES WILLIAMS and ELIZABETH MIDDLETON , but also have another new lead that has possible parents as JONATHAN WILLIAMS and SALLY LANKFORD.

Searching for parents of RHODA "VINEY" ELLIOTT b ca 1783-1786, married 17 March 1803 in Rutherford Co. NC. to JONATHAN MIDDLETON WILLIAMS. I have possible parents listed as WILLIAM ELLIOTT and LINDA MIDDLETON. Can anybody help with this or any information on the ELLIOTT family? I'm stumped.

Looking for parents and two wives names. JOHN P. ANGELLY ( ANISLEY, ANGLEY, AINSLIE, ANGELLEY, ANGSLEY, ENSLEY ) was born in NC ca 1799. We find him in Carter Co. Tenn. in 1822, Monroe County, Tenn. in 1830, Bradley County, Tenn. in 1840, Walker County Ga in 1850 and Catooza County, Ga. in 1860. After the Civil War JOHN P. ANGELLY and all of family except his sons, GUSSTAVUS HENRY and JAMES DAVID ANGELLY disappear from the face of the earth. Can't find them anywhere. JAMES DAVID went to Ill. and GUSSTAVUS HENRY ANGELLY went to Baxter County Ark. Need parents of JOHN P. ANGELLY, and names of both wives. His second wife was RACHEL ? born in NC ca 1815-1817. I have no information on his first wife. I would also like to know what happened to the sisters of GUSSTAVUS HENRY. Family legend has that one of the sisters was coming by train to visit GUSSTAVUS, fell ill on the train and died. Where ever this happened the townspeople buried her and my great grandfather, GUSSTAVUS HENRY ANGELLY, didn't get the news of her death for a long time.

Searching for parents or siblings of RUTH GILLEY ANDERSON who was born 20 April 1805 in NC. She married JAMES DOOLY 16 March 1826 in Habersham County Ga. They moved to Forsyth County Ga. and died there. There were Anderson families in Habersham, but we have never found a clue to tie Ruth to any of them. I'm desperate.

Does anyone have any information on the parents of JAMES ( who never used a middle initial ) DOOLY / DULA. He was born March 15, 1797 either in Va. or Ga. He married RUTH GILLEY ANDERSON on 16 March 1826 in Habersham Co. Ga. They moved to Forsyth County, Ga. and are both buried there.

I am looking for the parents of RHODA E. WIGGANS ( WIGGINS ) who was born ca 1844 in TN., married 12 Jan 1868 in Yell County, AR. to MOSES I. HARKEY. On the 1870 census there is a child, RICHARD WIGGINS age 8, listed in their household. Is this RHODA'S brother or son? Was she married to a Wiggins and did he die, perhaps in the Civil War ? I have been at a dead end on this since 1975. Please help.

Any clues on these lines would be VERY MUCH appreciated.

Wiley THREADGILL married Hannah on 9/1/1830. Info was taken 8/27/1966. (I think this was reported as a Freedman's Bureau Record of marriage.) These were my husband's great great grandparents.

Amos THREADGILL was born 1847. I believe his parents were Wiley and Hannah Threadgill. He married Mary SULLIVAN on 10/22/1866 in Union County, North Carolina. (This may have also been a Freedman Bureau Record.) He then married Peggy WILLIAMS, born in 1854 on 11/21/1877. When he married Peggy, he was living in New Salem Twp. I have no information on Peggy's parents.

Amos and Mary's children were:

Walter b. 1875.

Peggy's children were:
Henry Williams (stepson) b. 1877
Susan Williams (stepdaughter) b. 1869.

And Amos and Peggy's child was

Amos and Peggy were my husband's great grandparents.

Green H. AUSTIN was born in 1857 and was the son of Jackson and Nancy POLK. In March of 1878 he married Susan HORN who was born in 1859. At the time of the marriage she was living in New Salem Twp, Union County and he was living in Lanes Creek Twp, Union County. They had a daughter Lizzie Austin who was born in 1881 in Marshville, Union County, North Carolina. Green and Susan were my husband's great grandparents.

Vacher Threadgill b. 1878 son of Amos and Peggy Threadgill married Lizzie AUSTIN b. 1881, daughter of Green and Susan Austin in 1900. Both Vacher and Lizzie were living in Marshville, Union County, NC at the time of their marriage. Their children were:

Susan Threadgill married Lilly PARKER, son of Washington and Hannah PARKER on 12/26/1887. On the 1880 census, the family was living in Burnsville Twp, Anson Co., NC.

That is pretty much all that I have on my husband's paternal line."
