The Heart Of Jareth
Wrapped in misery
In pain and bloodlust
In arrogance and confidence
Is the place where nothing ever hurts again.
Beyond the mists of anger
The lies of mistrust
The sinister dreams
Is the place where nothing ever hurts again.
In the place past the longings
Guarded by walls of love and lust
Guarded with dreams and wishes
Is the place where nothing ever hurts again.
With the place shrouded in mystery
Where innocence is frozen forever
Where and eternity is a hidden-away joy
Is the place where nothing ever hurts again.
None have pierced the barriers to this land
None have seen it, not even the guardian
None shall taste its paradise, not even the caretaker.
The place where nothing ever hurts again.
This land held unknowingly
Forever sheltered from the world with defenses
Forever true to the spirit of dreams
The place where nothing ever hurts again.
In the heart of Jareth
In the soul he does not know.
He holds the gift to life
He holds heaven and hell in the same hand.
A place none, not even he, has tread
A place few, if even him, shall ever know.
The place beyond forever
The place where nothing hurts again.
Through the Light, Within the
Dark
*In the daylight hours, it's easy to remember the beauty and positive
aspects of something. With the sun out, one
doesn't always have to acknowledge the truth of the past, but can paint
a different picture for oneself. But when
evening falls, the truth of horrors and fear can resurface in nightmares,
making one curl up and wait for the sun
to rise again. Some say Sarah loved the Labyrinth, and it will always
be a part of her, but with all the fear and
strangeness in the adventure, what nightmares pierce her fond thoughts
each night as the darkness comes?*
Memories of the light breezes
/Fear, confusion, creeping hopelessness/
The warm caress of the sun
/Running, trapped in a crystal/
Whirled away into a realm of beauty
/If only I could go home, escape/
A realm that so many have tried to deny
/Paralyzed, terror from the corners of my soul/
A place where I am free
/Deadly beauty, his eyes are strangling me/
A land of magic and strangeness
/Where to hide, how to forget/
A place of friendly creatures and fairy tales
/I'm a silly child, didn't know what I was dealing with/
This Labyrinth, where fantasies are tangible
/I need to get out, free from this hell in the form of dreams/
Something in the air makes it seem like the place beyond pain
/Capture, being twisted, and dancing away my soul/
What I wouldn't give to live forever this way
/I cannot breathe, cannot think, cannot forget this horror/
Call of the Goblin King
I will twist you, I will mold you
I will make you what I want.
There is no where to run to, little girl
No where to hide.
I am all the Dreamer's will,
And so I am their heart.
I hold the key to escape the world
But such gifts come at a price.
You think you can live so free,
With laughing and grinning ways,
Calling to enter my realm
And have it all just be a game?
Little girl, merely a child trying
To live in a big girl's world.
So arrogant, more than you call me
Thinking you have all the answers.
I'll teach you the lessons,
That will show you why I am
And if you're quite lucky, little one
You might find a way back
To where you once were
But I will take my price from you,
And that is to be what I say.
The laws of magic have forced my life,
It is time for you to have a taste.
Come in, come in,
To my Labyrinth whenever you will,
But know that I do expect a fee
For your childish displays.
I will mold you, create you,
Turn you to be what I will,
And in the end, when you go home
It will never be again.
No one ever realy leaves
In body perhaps, but you see
I keep your soul, and that is the way.
