What do you do?I am a master teacher who embodies the healing presence, leading others to understand how to make
themselves whole and well |
How do you do that? I help people in two ways - private practice and teaching.
When I treat people, I provide my full presence. This healing presence enables individuals to directly
and indirectly address and release their pain and stress. By being an
anchor, a mirror, a facilitator and a well of insight, I provide my clients
with the tools they require to process and release patterns of stress, pain,
and imbalance on a profound and lasting level. I employ a mixture of hands-on and energetic modalities,
predominantly Ortho-Bionomy®, Flower Remedies and intuitive healing. Through the use of these, I facilitate the individual's
ability to heal and self-correct. I also am a registered Ortho-Bionomy Instructor, where I teach
the principles and techniques with the same nurturing presence I bring to my work with individuals. I also teach Healing Presence
in an attempt to bring the capacity for well-being to everyone's lives, as well as provide helping professionals to create
a more powerful environment for healing.
What is Ortho-Bionomy? It is an extremely gentle and extremely effective body-mind therapy.
How much is a
session? Sessions $80 for a full 60 minutes.
Phone sessions are 30-40 minutes and are $40. Packages of four sessions paid in advance are $285. I take cash, checks, or
you may prepay with PayPal.
What
is a Session Like?
Sessions are conducted by gently positioning and moving the individual's
clothed body in ways that acknowledge and reflect his unique pattern. The guiding principle of my work is always away from pain and into comfort. This produces an acknowledging, nurturing setting for profound
healing. Your experience, trauma, and injury are gently reflected to you as they are manifesting in your consciousness. This
allows them to be processed and integrated. The removal of self-imposed limitations allows our essential nature to shine through.
Individuals
experience physical sensations, visual occurrences, or dream-like states as they process the patterns in their consciousness.
Some physical relief manifests instantly, while some can
take up to two or three days as the pattern unwinds.
Most people find Ortho-Bionomy sessions so relaxing
that they experience being in an "alpha" or even "theta" state where the brain waves are at 8-12 (alpha) or 5-8 (theta) cycles
per second. This state can produce such deep relaxation that
it is sometimes confused with sleep, but the mind is focused and aware.
The reflective nature of the work is geared toward producing the effect of facilitating the process of becoming who you
really are. Ortho-Bionomy's founder, Dr. Arthur Lincoln Pauls, called it The Evolvement of the Original Concept.
Who are Your Clients?
Ortho-Bionomy is profoundly calming, peaceful, and enjoyable and many clients make regular appointments for relaxation and
health maintenance.
I have worked with people who have repeated pain and "revolving door" discomfort, have experienced injuries
from falls and accidents, physical abuse, sports injuries and unexplained pain. Also I have worked with chronic conditions
such as fibromyalgia, scoliosis and plantar fasciitis.
Conditions which have been addressed through my work include:
- Physical traumas, such as falls, car accidents and sports injuries, concussions, and sprains;
- Unresolved issues of pain or physical limitation;
- Emotional traumas, such as emotional/physical abuse, childhood traumas, molestation;
- Chronic conditions, including some congenital disorders.
The gentle, individualized approach makes this work completely safe and appropriate for people of all ages and in all
conditions.
What is Cultivating the Healing Presence?
A compassionate presence is a positive act of healing. In other words, by simply providing a compassionate presence, without
ego, intention, or investment, we commit an act of healing. Cultivating the Healing Presence is a course of study that explains
what this is, why it is, and gives good practical advice about how to get there.
Where are classes held?
Classes are held at a variety of locations throughout the Twin Cities, as well as occasionally held outside the Metro Area.
Can we bring you to teach in our area?
