My goal over the Christmas break was to get the Nova to a point where I can start running the new brake lines. Here is what
I was able to get done:
Below is a picture of the brake booster/master cylinder and the brake pedal bracket I modified.

Installation of the modified brake pedal bracket and the booster was relatively easy.

The next step was installing the rebuilt steering column. Before I installed it, I took the opportunity to remove the gauge
cluster. This convinced me to ditch the 1990's head unit in the dash and the crazy wiring and "dash speaker".
The more I saw, the more I was astonished. I had installed all of these components around 1992. The build quality of the
dash speaker and the quality of the wiring was horrible. I was embarrassed to have my name attached to this work. Removing
this "junk" also allowed me to reflect on the amount of time I had spent on something that had absolutely no affect
on the braking, performance or handling of the car. It kind of makes me wonder what I will be thinking about some of the
modifications that I do to the car today. Below is a representation of some of the items removed from the car.

After the dash was back in place, I secured the new steering column. The column was topped off by a Budnik Sport steering
wheel with a brushed aluminum center. I am amazed at that quality of this product.
