Twilight and her brother Midnight joined us in November, 2009. They have an interesting story. Two years prior
I had a dream that a little tortie and her black brother came to the garage doors. I took them in and named them Twilight
and Midnight. It was rather vivd and I wondered if it didn't portend their arrival. In April, 2009, I was at the
vet's with one of the cats for a yearly check. There in the waiting room was a little tortie kitten and her long haired
black brother. Now I have a real thing for torties and callicos. Her markings were wonderful. The veterinary
staff kept telling me I should take them, but I did not want 16 cats. Now our vet will try to find homes for abandoned
kittens and cats but if no one takes them and they need the space for boarding, they will be euthanized. I left
it that if no one adopted them to call me before they were were put down and I would take them. I checked in the next
week and someone had taken them home. End of story, or so I thought.
Fast forward to October, 2009. My next door neighbor told me that a little tortie and a little black cat had
shown up and they were feeding them, but did not have room to keep them. At that point, I was too dense to make
the connection. A couple of weeks later, sitting on our back patio looking in the door was the litle tortie and her
long haired black companion. One look and I immediately recognized her markings. It was the same pair from the
vet's office in April. They had found me. LOL I contacted the veterinary clinic and while they remembered
the kittens and that a man had taken them, they did not have his name, nor had anyone called reporting them missing. I
can only assume the person that took them tired of them and abandoned them by the creek at the base of the mountain where
we live. Reguardless, they were now mine. Was it predestined that I was to care for them or just a co-incidence.
I don't know, bit I am glad they are here. They joined the garage based group.
