Night Photography
The Nocturnes
night photography group web site. Galleries, Technique, Message Board, and Workshops.
Dan Heller.com This site offers a huge amount of experience-based information on making photos in a variety of settings, but specializes in travel photos taken outdoors. There is a lot of good stuff here on night photography, especially star trails and other night work. His work has a documentary quality to it that works well in a commercial setting. Ken Rockwell.com Ken Rockwell is a So Cal based photographer that has put together one of the most comprehensive How Too photography web sites out there. If I am trying to figure out something, his site is always one I'll visit. His un-biased reviews of all sorts of things, from cameras, lenses, film, scanners, etc, are especially useful.
Lost America
Troy Paiva's night photography and the Abandoned Roadside West.
David Baldwin Night Photography from London. This site features excellent work with a mystical feel about it. His Guest page features one of my images with insightful commentary.
Ken Carr
Ken shoots railroads at night and has some spectacular images to show for it. He mostly works around his home in Las Vegas, roaming southwest into the Mojave Desert and north to Meadow Valley Wash.
Luc Lavoie from Quebec, Canada. Luc presents work featuring beautiful graphic design and a sense of space I find compelling. He has a light touch with flash painting too. His site has been expanded recently to present a broader scope of work.
Mike Johannessen
Mike is a talented night photographer of the railroad scene. His site is just an index list of images without thumbnails, but hidden in there are some spectacular images.
Yuichi Takasaka's Aurora's
Amazing images of auroras from northern Canada
