PROJECT
HOMESTEAD
is
a program of the Kissimmee Valley Audubon Society. The goal is to bring
educational facilities to the Shingle Creek Preserve in Kissimmee, Florida.
PHASE
I:
THE
STEFFEE
HOUSE
This
historic house will be restored and serve as a visitors center, display
area, and Audubon family activity center.
PHASE
II:
ENVIRONMENTAL
EDUCATION
CENTER
This
new building will house a classroom for use by area schools, environmental
groups, and the public.
PROJECT
HOMESTEAD
will
help re-connect people in Central Florida with the greater Everglades Ecosystem.
