Buggy at CMU

What is Buggy? Simply put, Buggy is a race. more specifically a race around a road course near CMU with torpedo shaped go-karts
The race team consists of 5 pushers and a driver.
Each pusher is designated a zone to push called a "hill".
The drive drives the go-kart hereafter called a "buggy" around the course.
The first two zones of the race(hills 1 and 2) bring the buggy to the top of a hill
The hill 2 runner with the buggy called a "pusher" pushes the buggy down the hill
The buggy runs fast enough to get away from the "pusher" and begins to accelerate.
The buggy makes one gradual right turn, and then heads toward "the chute"
The chute is the point at which the buggies reach maximum speed and begin a sharp right turn
The sharp right turn is immediately followed by another less severe and upward sloping right turn
This is where hills 3, 4, and 5 are. Hill 5 ends at about the middle of hill 2.
The only power allowed is the human pushing it.

'Pioneers Buggy is the team I was a member of as an undergraduate at CMU

there is a better description with all of the painfully detailed rules online at CMU
But the last time I looked they seem to have moved/erased it.
