24 December 2009, 11 a.m., Graveside Ceremony
A Moment For Rita.  A small casual gathering of family and close friends is planned for a Christmas Eve morning graveside ceremony.  11 a.m. Acacia Park Cemetery, 31300 Southfield Road, Beverly Hills, MI 48025.  We will meet at the front of the cemetery and drive separately back to the gravesite.  If desired bring a short prayer or memory to share, a personal momento, balloon(s), and/or floral arrangement.  This will be short with a moment for all, as our Michigan winter will be attending with us.  Rita's cremated remains will be buried at this time (her marker cannot be placed until Spring arrives).  There are no arrangements following the ceremony.  If you cannot attend - then remember Rita at this moment with your prayers, memories, and love.  This moment is for her.

Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time,
accepting the hardships as the pathway to peace;
taking, as He did, this world as it is,
not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life and
supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me,
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Don't lose your way
With each passing day
You've come so far
Don't throw it away
Live believing
Dreams are for weaving
Wonders are waiting to start
Live your story
Faith, hope & glory
Hold to the truth in your heart

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

Souls in the wind
Must learn how to bend
Seek out a star
Hold on to the end
Valley, mountain
There is a fountain
Washes our tears all away
Words are swaying
Someone is praying
Please let us come home to stay

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
Where clouds roll by
For you and I

When we are out there in the dark
We'll dream about the sun
In the dark we'll feel the light
Warm our hearts, everyone

If we hold on together
I know our dreams will never die
Dreams see us through to forever
As high as souls can fly
The clouds roll by
For you and I
~ "If We Hold On Together", James Horner (musical score) & Will Jennings (lyrics), performed by Diana Ross (Released November 18, 1988)
