Rita Marie Young Kresevich (born 12.31.1971, Royal Oak, Michigan - died 2.20.2009, Atlanta, Michigan).  Our Rita.  Today, July 8, 2009, Rita's cremated remains were returned to her family to prepare for her final resting place.  This page to honor her and celebrate her life.  A memorial fund has been established to cover her burial expenses.   Please return for updates on all the details.

Rita's Final Resting Place Location.
2009 August 1.  Arrangements are pending for Rita's burial at Acacia Park Cemetery, 31300 Southfield Road, Beverly Hills, MI 48025.  Down payments are in place to secure grave W264-3A for her (near other deceased relatives and locally close to many living relatives and friends).  Total burial costs are $2830.  Funds are needed to finalize these arrangements so that she can be laid to rest.

Family members and friends are encouraged to participate in this endeavor.  Times are very difficult right now for all families.  Not any one family member or friend can possibly cover the costs, and we all now have an opportunity to come together and give what we can.

No deposits to the RMYK Memorial Fund this month so far.  Today I went to Acacia Park Cemetery and picked up Rita's remains, as the cemetery does not have an area to hold her long term.  I've had concerns about this and under the circumstances it is better for Rita's remains to be in my custody then a chance of misplacement at the cemetery office.  Not that they have lost anyone before this, just being careful.  Tough times for all right now, but please donate what you can when you can.

No deposits to the RMYK Memorial Fund the entire month of September.  The cemetery will not complete the burial until a large portion of the cost is paid (Rita has not yet been buried in her final resting place).

No deposits since August 1st, but enough funds have been collected to select an urn.  Rita's remains had occupied a black plastic box (from Autumn Valley Crematory, Otsego, MI), which was not strong enough to withstand the weight and elements of ground burial.  Rita's new marbelized blue urn is special and beautiful - the perfect choice.

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me,
I took His hand when I heard Him call,
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too, will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been full, I've savored much.
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now, He set me free.
