17 October 2009 No deposits to the RMYK Memorial Fund this month so far.  Today I went to Acacia Park Cemetery and picked up Rita's remains, as the cemetery does not have an area to hold her long term.  I've had concerns about this and under the circumstances it is better for Rita's remains to be in my custody then a chance of misplacement at the cemetery office.  Not that they have lost anyone before this, just being careful.  Tough times for all right now, but please donate what you can when you can.

2009 October 4 No deposits to the RMYK Memorial Fund the entire month of September.  The cemetery will not complete the burial until a large portion of the cost is paid (Rita has not yet been buried in her final resting place).

2009 September 7 No deposits since August 1st, but enough funds have been collected to select an urn.  Rita's remains had occupied a black plastic box (from Autumn Valley Crematory, Otsego, MI), which was not strong enough to withstand the weight and elements of ground burial.  Rita's new marbelized blue urn is special and beautiful - the perfect choice.    "What we have once enjoyed we can never lose.
