Sierra Leone Children

Both boys and girls are available. They are mostly toddlers and preschool-age. Two children can be adopted at the same time.

Note: The requirements and process below is combined with US laws, but it should be a basis for citizens of other countries.

Requirements

Married couples and single women are allowed to adopt. It is best that parents be at least 25 (US recommendation). Families with children already in the home are allowed to adopt from Sierra Leone.

Process

Parents may travel to Senegal, a country near Sierra Leone to complete the adoption, or the child(ren) may be escorted. If you choose to travel, it takes about 7 - 10 days.
