Ecuadorian Children

The children available are infants up to 15 years old. The children are either Hispanic or Native American. Siblings are sometimes available.


Note: The requirements and process below is combined with US laws, but it should be a basis for citizens of other countries.


Requirements

Single women may adopt. She must be 30 years older than the child if the child they are adopting is a boy. If the child is a girl, the single woman must be at least 15 years older than the girl. At least one parent must be between 30 and 40. Couples must be married 2.5 years during the adoption. Ecuador doesn't specify the number of children in the home, but no more than two Ecuadorian children can be adopted by a family unless the Ecuadorian children are siblings.

Process

Medical and psychological reports of your child will be available. Parents can stay in Ecuador for one trip of three weeks or two short trips of five and three days.


Weather / Climate

The rainy season in the Pacific coast lasts from December to May and the dry season is between June and November. On average, the temperature in the Pacific coast region is between 23 and 26 C (around 70 - 80 F). The highlands have a rainy and cold season from Nov. to Apr. and a dry season from May to October. The temp. varies from 13 - 18 C (around high 50s to low 60s F). The Amazoin areas are rainy and humid between the months of January and September, and it is dry between October and December. The Galapagos Is. have a temperate climate between the temperatures of 22 and 32 C (mid 70s - 90 F). The climate varies greatly in Ecuador. Temperatures depend on the altitude.

The capital is Quito. The primary language is Spanish. The country is bordered by Peru and Colombia and is buffered by the Pacific Ocean. The country is located on the continent of South America.
