Four Characteristics of a Good Partner:

1. Someone who gives even when it isn't convenient;

2. Someone who admits when they are wrong;

3. Someone who does not make demands or attack;

4. Someone who makes a sustained effort to give and respond in an empathic way.

(empathy = accepting someone's feelings while having their own feelings.)
