Sweet spot (90434 bytes)

This is the view of our system from its "sweet spot"...the acoustic center.  Planned upgrades include a Sony ES DD-EX/DTS-ES-capable receiver and two more Klipsch RS-3s for the rear center channel.

Monitor: Sony KP-53HS10 high-definition-ready RPTV (calibrated with the Avia Guide to Home Theater DVD, click on the TV to learn more)

Main Speakers: Klipsch Reference RF-3s

Center Channel Speaker: Klipsch Reference RC-3

Subwoofer: SVS 20-39PC (not shown, click here to see pic)

DSS receiver: Sony SAT-A55 (Dolby Digital capable)

 

 

 

Here's a picture of our component rack (you can click on each component to find out more info from Sony's website).  From top to bottom, the components are:

  • Sony DVP-S9000ES SACD/DVD player
  • Sony CDP-CX333ES CD changer
  • Sony TC-KA2ES cassette deck
  • Sony MDS-JA20ES minidisc recorder
  • Sony STR-DA50ES A/V receiver
  • Sony PS-LX350H turntable (not shown)
  • Sony SLV-720HF hi-fi VCR (not shown)

The space beneath the rack is primarily used for blank MD, blank cassette, and remote control storage.

Here's a photo of the rear of the room.  Mounted on the sides (above the curtains) are two Klipsch Reference RS-3 surround speakers.
