Forensic Audio Sleuth™ tool suite for the Macintosh

The Forensic Audio Sleuth tool suite is composed of 3 main applications and a number of smaller support apps. They were designed for use by Anthony Pellicano of Forensic Audio Labs who uses them on legal forensic-audio cases. He has used them in such public cases as the Menedez Brothers trial and the Michael Jackson afair. All of the applications are written in C with a little assembly and in total comprise about 500,000 lines of code. More details can be found in my resumé.

Waveform / overview and Spectrograph of a music segment. FAS plays 24 bit audio and does all of its DSP in 32 bit floating point

Spectral Shaping and Inversion tool. The top graph shows the desired spectral envelope while the lower shows the actual spectrum of the input and output signals

FFT waterfall plot of same audio segment from DC to 12K. All printing is in color and can be output at 1500 DPI
Spectral Subtraction tool showing the average of the noise to be removed and the instantaneous noise at a specific location

 Sleuth Player

This is one of the other apps that comprise this tool suite. It provides audio playback and other functions as a smaller stand-alone application
